- Pauselijke Raad 'Cor Unum'
Deze Pauselijke Raad "Cor Unum" 'voor de bevordering van menselijke en christelijke ontwikkeling' kwam tot stand vanuit de evangelische bekommernis voor armen en behoeftigen en om de gelovigen te inspireren tot christelijke caritas. Hij verzorgt de contacten met de katholieke hulporganisaties, neemt zelf initiatieven bij rampen en verdeelt financiële steun.
Opgericht: Paus Paulus VI in een Apostolische Brief van 15 juli 1971.

Twee Stichtingen zijn aan de zorgen van deze Raad toevertrouwd:
- In 1984 richtte Paus Johannes Paulus II de Johannes Paulus II Stichting voor de Sahel op, dat zich richt op de strijd tegen droogte en ondervoeding.
- In 1992 richtte Paus Johannes Paulus II de Populorum Progressio Stichting op die de achtergestelde verschillende rassen van Afro-Americaanse oorsprong en de arme campesinos van Latijns Amerika en de Carriben moet ondersteunen.
- In 2004 te begeleiden.
